Natural Bug Repellent Soy Wax Candle

Soy wax is my favorite wax for candles because it provide a clean burn and a good throw. It is also very easy to clean out of the jar when you've finished using it so it can be recycled for other uses.

I use wooden wicks because I love the way they sound and their aesthetic look and feel. They also burn the wax slower than cotton wicks. Sometimes wooden wicks can be more difficult to have remain lit. To combat this, I dip the entire wick in wax before I pour the candle. You may still have to lite the wick a few times before it takes.

For these special outdoor summer edition candles I used a bug repellent blend of essential oils: Citronella, lemongrass, and cedarwood.

SAFETY NOTICE: Please burn your candle with care. Use within sight. Keep away from flammable objects. The jar will be hot to the touch when lit. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Do not leave candle unattended and blow it out before leaving your home.

BURNING INSTRUCTIONS: Trim wick (if needed) between each use. Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface. Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Stop use when only ¼’ wax remains.
